When we have shooting days I am always very excited. The days are very tough but it gives me so much positive energy because I always feel the thankfulness from the artist and that they enjoy our format so much which gives me a good feeling as well. It gives me a lot of confidence staying in front of the camera and I guess I grew as a person as well while doing the hosting.
Marie: What is your name and what is your position/location in DiscovrTV?
Noemi: My Name is Noemi and I am hosting DiscovrTV Zurich together with Giulia. Next to that I welcome the artists when they arrive and tell them how our sessions work and try to make them comfortable.
Marie: What is your personal "DiscovrTV story" - how did you get involved and when?
Noemi: Through my job as a project manager for a national band. I got invited to a business meet-up where I talked about my project and my experiences. After my speech Christoph told me about former BalconyTV and asked me if I want to host the show as a special guest for one time to check out if I would like to do it regularly. And here I am now, hosting DiscovrTV Zurich now since a year ago and I love it.
Marie: What would you say you have learned so far?
Noemi: I learned to leave my comfort zone and jump into new adventures without looking back and I never did.
Marie: What was it about the experience that made you stay?
Noemi: When we have shooting days I am always very excited. The days are very tough but it gives me so much positive energy because I always feel the thankfulness from the artist and that they enjoy our format so much which gives me a good feeling as well. It gives me a lot of confidence staying in front of the camera and I guess I grew as a person as well while doing the hosting. It helped me in my private life as well as my professional one. I am very thankful for it!
Marie: And we are thankful, for what you do! What's it like being a part of the team and what's the spirit like?
Noemi: I don’t want to sound arrogant but I think we have the best team. The team spirit is amazing! We all support each other and we always have a lot of fun together. We are a very wild mixed group of people in all different ages and genders and especially, different types of people as well. But somehow we work as a team and I also think, that we learn from each other because of the fact that we are different. I remember the first time I hosted the session, the welcoming was so warm and friendly, I felt comfortable straight away and it makes it much easier for me to be myself as well.
Marie: one last question: What else do you do - your job, your hobbies, education, aspirations, what else should we know about you?
Noemi: I work as a consultant in the capital of Switzerland in Bern. When I’m not working I spend all my free time with my dog, go for horse rides or go on a hike with my friends. I also enjoy long summer nights outside around a fireplace with a good glass of wine with people I love. I love travelling and I am very privileged that I have to opportunity to do that whenever I want to. I try to stay away from negative people, spiders and countries which have a temperature average of 35 degrees, that’s way too hot for me :).
What else? – I am loud, funny, honest and always there where food is for free – nice to meet you, that’s me .. :)
